Up for sale is a 10/79 FJ40. clean CA title current reg. 126K miles. CA truck previous owner was the 2nd owner, he lived in AZ before moving to the Bay Area. Runs and drives great has new saginaw PS system, front/rear discs which work amazing, can lock up 35s on dry pavement. It has the stock 2F/4sp. 2.5" lift leaf springs. Has Warn 8k winch and dual rear swing out. Besttop super top softop in great shape no rips/tares and seals well. Besttop front bucket seats and folding rear bench seat. It has OEM rubber floor mat.
No rust or rot, minor surface rust from living outside. Overall the body is solid, floors are great, does have some damage above the rockers near the B pillar and driver side front fender. Doors have no damage or rot in the typical areas. Previous owner installed diamond plate over rear quarters but no rot on the panel under. It was re-spayed ~10 years ago to the current color. Has new wheels and 35" tires with <500 miles on them. Would be a great platform for someone wanting a solid, complete cruiser. Bought this with the intention of swapping in an HJ60 drive train I have been rebuilding over the past few years but am now planning on putting that into an earlier 40 series now.
I have had it for the past 4 years and have done minor upgrades/maintenance, daily driving it on/off and going camping occasionally.

-New set of spark plugs
-New radiator cap and fuel filler cap
-Fabricated front bumper added warn 8k winch with synthetic line
-Complete front axle rebuild, all bearings, seals, pads, rotors
-New 15" steel wheels, 35" STT Pro tires (5)
-Idle control solenoid
-Rebuilt heater blower and controls, plated all hardware new foam insulation on vents
-Complete PS system install. Pump, Box, lines, cooler, pulleys/belts
-Complete 2.5" stainless exhaust system from downtube to muffler.
-Fabricated sliders/side steps
-Brake master cylinder replacement and fluid flush
-OEM door latch replaced on driver side door
