Hello mudders, just recently got a lowish mileage 200 series that will have to sit for months at my second home. Given that it will be sitting so long what battery and battery tender would you recommend?

Check out the quirks & features of this relevant thread :).

Hmm very quirky indeed, but does it have features? THISS does not seem to serve a purpose, unless complaining about free content is, in fact, a feature??

I have always run a Battery Tender Junior on parked vehicles with lead acid batteries (like the stock LC battery) that sit for long periods.

If i had to guess, the OP is someone trying to play a joke and pretending to be Doug Demuro.

Even if it isn't, what's the harm in answering a new person's question?

Congratulations on your buy! Hope you enjoy it. Battery brand is less as maintaining said battery IMHO, though your run-of-the-mill parts store branded batteries (Superstart, Duralast, etc.) in my experience have been less reliable in the long run (and sometimes in the short run). As far as tenders, I haven't had to use them enough to know, and will defer to others who have.

A+ Trolling here.

Noco Genius is what I use.
I haven’t wired mine up yet but the permanent mount version is what I settled on after a bunch of research.

And, I agree.

I use a NOCO Genius 1 on the 200 which stays at lake house and sits for extended periods. I wired a quick connect to make it easy to plug in.

For my Taco I used a Noco Genius2D with the charger permanently mounted under the hood so I can just use an extension cord wherever I am to put it on the charger. The Taco is my daily but with work from home, I don’t drive much anymore. I also run an AGM battery in it and think it’s a good idea to keep a tender on it as I don’t think the alternator is up to the task.
