And I leave on Wed after work, crossing the border on Friday. Sounds like it's going to be too crowded with the Jan and I down there at the same time.

Been there, done that, in August and without A/C. Fully agree on the never doing that again thought. BTW, that is hurricane season down tehre, ya know. Will you have the proper coms to keep track of the weather? Just remember these threee things...Shade..Water...electrolytes

It is not only HOT HOT HOT in August. It is extremly Humid on the Gulf side. The Pacific is not bad at all but the Sea of Cortez side is Hell. I have been down in August, and I would not do it again.

UFH radio, Lowrance Baja GPS system, lots of common sense.

I dunno...I'm hearin it' will be hot..but all the locals say no worries just gotta know where to go.

We'll see I guess.

Also, be careful of the ocean down there. The entire Pacific side, especially south of Guerro Negro, and the Gulf side south of La Paz, especially in the Los Cabos area. The surf can be very rough, strong currents, strong undertows, especially before, during, and after storms. Just an FYI if you're not an experienced ocean person, and the Gulf of Mexico doesn't count as that is mostly a lake.

Should be a great trip!
