What is it? Looks more like some sort of baja racer to me. Expedition rigs seems to me to be in for long hauls this looks like it should be a fast thing.

the pic above is a 1994 fj80 .... i got carrier ed away with the plasma cutter. lol

specs include:

extra cab pickup conversion, with 6 ft bed
custom built fenders. ( clearance for 37s with no lift)
rear 14 bolt with double triangulated 4 - link
front 14 bolt / Dana 60 hybrid with 3 - link
ls 1 motor swap, 4l60e trans, and a atlas 2 speed
lots of other goodies

i will try to post more pics from the side view, but be warned my internet connection blows.......

awesome!

isn't Baja racing just very fast overlanding?

Plenty of Ultra4 guys race just fine with solid front axles...not ideal for BAJA, but there is almost no one running 4WD there anyways...Trophy Trucks are 2WD :)

sweet rig :)

How about for Overlanding in Baja? I saw lots of places I'd like to explore. A chase truck with trailer and a tight time schedule made that hard. I'd think a well fitted 80 and about six months time would do for starters. Looks sharp from the front.

Other than that it's totally stock though?

We need more pictures of this thing! I love how far out of the box it is.

That could be the most impressive transformation I have seen. Well done. Clearly not your first effort.

thank u all.

its been a fun project, a couple thousand dollars and a plasma cutter can change an 80 series a lot....lol :)

oh and no this ain't my first go around. I've built quite a few. 4 fun years of servitude to P.C. Never out done....

Freaking Sweet. Its come a long way since I saw it sanded with filler in person.

This thing is made to drive to and from the Baja while ejoying anything along the way!

Wow. Alex....my old truck looks great. You went above and beyond on this one sir.

Hope you are well.
