Badlands ATV winch (1 Viewer)

Just posting this as an observation on a Badlands 1500 lb ATV winch. I found the winch in a dumpster and externally it looked ok, so I took it home. When I tested it though, it would not work. Yesterday I pulled it apart. Motor looked good but the problem was with a fractured side of the drum. Appeared that the winch cable had kinked, pushed against the side of the drum and broken off two large pieces.

No idea if it makes economic sense, though, over buying a new one.

I've already stripped it of good parts and scrapped it. Using a good Warn ATV on the 4wheeler.
