ok i did the search thing for the last hour but i am tooo hung over and couldn't find the answer. i know if i go 15 inch rims i gotta go with either 3.5 or 3.25 inches of backspacing which seems to be hard to as i am searching right now. i though i heard before on here if i go up to 16 inch rims i don't have to worry bout backspacing as then it won't hit the tie rod ends. is this correct? cause 4 inches of backspacing seems to be pretty common. also i have a 4 inch lift and i am gonna go with 33 inch tsl's with a 10 inch wide rim.

Sober up and search some more!
There must be 1,000 post on this subject

plenty of lift for 33"s

But I think 2.5 or 3 inches of back spacing is where I am gonna go when I am done.

I saw a recommendation on Procomps web site. 2.5" back spacing for 33's on the Extreemly stiff 2.5" lift on my 40.
You see alot of folks on here going 3.5 - 4" back spacing w/a
spacer.

No wisdom here just bored and thought I would post.
Someone with more intimate knowledge will chime in I am sure

ps You can order rims with custom back spacing

thanks dirt, i think i m gonna go with 15's with 4 inch backspacing and a 1 in wheel spacer.

Hi All:

How wide a tire are you thinking about?

Ten-inch rims are way too wide for most tires! I'm running some 15X8 steel wagon wheels with 3.75 inch backspacing with a set of 33X12.5/15 Super Swamper TSLs and these work well off-road.

Regards,

Alan
