I leave Cruiser in garage most of the time. She is not a DD, so she is parked most of the week. Today i had to fix garage door and went to back her out. Cranked up no issues. Let her idle a bit. Put it in reverse and felt the transmission shift but the car wouldnt move. like the brakes were on . Checked the Emergency brake and it was down. put it in drive and she rolled a bit. Back in park and get out to see if there is anything blocking the wheels ( my 7 year old tends to play around the car.) Back in the driver seat and put it in drive with foot on brake. Ease off brake and hear loud "clunk" in the rear end, loud enough to hear it and feel it. Put it in reverse and she backs right out. no grinding or noises. Pulled back in the garage after i fixed it and no noises or any other issues.

Sound

Only thing i have done to the truck in the last couple weeks is pressure wash as much mud and grease off the truck as i can.

Any ideas?

Why thank you. Now if auburns defense would step up I would be perfect

FWIW, I will second what @Godwin said. My 80 sits the majority of the time and from time to time I get a little pop similar to what you mention. Brakes get wet and seize up a little. Generally once I get it moving they clean themselves and are good to go.

Intern22, I got the rear axle rebuild kit that jynx sold me. I'ma pass it on to you sine I no longer need it. It's bearings and gaskets for a Semi-float 80-axle.

Awesome! Thank you sir. I tackled the exhaust leak today. Needless to say it won.

I'm taking mulligan to 'The Exhaust Shop' in Pelham this week. Want me to talk up a two-fer?

Sure, money is tight till the baby gets here however. I'd really just like to cut the cats out or bust them up and Des mog. The leak is from a missing gasket that was left out the last time my fil messed with it. That's what I was trying to fix today. I've never messed with exhaust so it was a good day of learning and using penetrating oil. Didn't break anything haha. What are you wanting to get the shop to do?

Shoot, I can help you with that on yours. Name the evening in the garage!

I'm getting the exhaust redone, smaller muffler, no cats. So's I can weld some sliders on easiler

Well the official due date is tomorrow.... So it will be a little bit. Started collecting parts for the lift. So need to let me know whenever I can help with yours so I don't feel so bad when you have to help with mine ha.
