Hello all !

When I bought my 97 LC one of the cargo net pockets (on the back of a front seat) was missing. The plastic mounting frame is there, but the net is gone.

Do you know any source where these nets can be purchased? Or, do you know of an alternative to the nets that works and looks decent?

Your input is appreciated!

Thanks, GringoBob

Now that's an idea. I could be more easily swayed if those seat organizers were available in brown or tan to match my interior colors ...I'll have to investigate that. But yeah ...black, brown or tan ...that's a possibility.

Thanks!

Some time ago I saw a thread from someone who bought some white netting from a major craftstore (Michaels or something similar) and then died it brown to match the cruiser interior. It was completely indistinguishable from the factory original. I keep that in the back of my mind because my cruiser needs it too ;-)

I will be on the lookout for netting material ...but I'm in Costa Rica and suspect it will be tougher to find than in the USA. Then again, you never know till you try!

Thanks for the info!

I put a set of gray wooly seat covers on. They have a large storage pocket on the back. They protect the seat from UV and me from sticking to the leather when it's 117 in the shade!

Post up in the wanted classifieds what you are looking for. Someone scrapping the OEM seats should be willing to part with the net and frame for not much $$$.

I don't know if the nets are different between the LX and the LC but I have a spare set of LX brown seats in my parts rig. You are welcome to a net for the price of shipping if that helps you out. PM me if you want to discuss.

I have been testing this setup for a while, racing window mesh. They come in different sizes and colors. This one I slid a 1/2" aluminum stock bar on the top and use the headrest to keep it in place. So far so good. It can go behind the front seat as well, just need to add a small belt to hold the bottom from swinging.

I have been thinking on this and was looking to make something custom. Molle or netting...hadn't decided.

That was probably me with the dye. I just replaced the bungee at the top, not the entire net, but am sure you can do the same if you can get white netting. Here are the links to the posts for my seats:
