B engine mounts..same as 2F?

Absolutely NOT. I ought to know having swapped a 3B into my daughters FJ55 which had the 2F. Mounts are in the wrong location, have the wrong angle and use different rubber mounts. To me that's different!
If you need a B rebuild kit check out Geoff Walsh Engine parts in Australia. Regular day to day stuff is available at the dealers as they were Canadian imports (may be harder stateside though it SHOULD still be available as all the parts come through LA).

the frame mounts on the FJ45 are almost a perfect fit for the 3B, on the drivers side you need to elongate the hole....

the 55 is a totally different beast.
the motor moutns themselves arecompletely different...
i have a set of used 3B engine mounts kicking around here somewhere.

Wayne, are you sure? If so, I'm glad I didn't cut the mounts out of the FJ45LV yet. Does it position the tranny in the right spot (front to rear) as well? The FJ55 did not work front to back either so I can't imagine how the FJ45 would. I haven't got the 3B yet and I'm still a while away before that anyways.
What about the different angle on the mounts?

when i had a frame powdercoated it had a set of 3B moutns on it and the guy was putting a 3FE into the frame. i ordered brand new frame mounts for the 3FE and i held them side by side and the buggers were almost exact, same pitch, same mounting to the frame rivit holes. the only difference i saw was the drivers side was a bit longer hole...
