When I use my remote and the lock button on the door half the time the drives door lock only goes part way in so the lock does not engage. It's sticking, what is the fix? Silcone spray? The door will lock with the key or if manually pushed in. Thanks

Needs a door latch assy - incl door lock solenoid. as above they get weak and then just quit working.

So until I get it fixed will it continue to work with the key in the door lock the old fashion way?

Yep, key in the door and flipping the inside lock toggle lever still worked on mine. My first indication was when I hit the lock button on the key, my lights didn't flash. I didn't realize for some time that the drivers door wasn't locking (and the alarm wasn't setting!).

How much does this cost to have fixed? I know the parts are $180 how mush would a Toyota dealer charge to do this job? It seems to be affecting both front doors. More the drivers but sometimes the passenger door. :(

What did that cost to fix? You can still just use the key the old fashion way right.

I replaced mine myself, and didn't ask what the dealer would charge. As I recall, it's a fairly straighforward job, and gives you quality bonding time with your LC!

The only quality bonding time I want is with a good looking women :)
