Hi all,

I recently bought my first 100 series for my stepson. While working through a few problems before I give it to him, I have stumbled on two issues that are becoming road blocks.

1. Alarm sounds while unlocking drivers or passenger door manually with the key. I replaced both door actuators. While in there I found another sensor not installed on either door. The sensor was just hanging loose on both doors. What is this sensor and where does it go? Are they available anywhere? I believe this is why the alarm is sounding.

2. Master window/ door switch is always hot / active with key off. Switch works correctly otherwise. The result is the battery becomes low after it sits for several days. For now, I am unplugging the switch assembly while parked. I checked the harness from the switch to the front left kick panel where is is plugged in. No stress, chafing or opens found. How is power applied to this master switch? Is there a common relay or module?

Thanks in advance!

Those are the door lock key sensors. I believe it determines the position of the key lock and is located right behind the key cylinder.

Thanks for the reply hoser. I have found part numbers for the door lock key sensors. Now looking for availability..

Anyone have a response to my other issue with the master door switch? I did some more troubleshooting yesterday with the following results.

Removed kick panel, disconnected door harness connectors from module (IDK Name) mounted in kick panel. Lights go out. Power is being supplied by larger gauge red wire and smaller gauge blue wire. Confirmed power output at module as well. Not sure if this is normal or not. Maybe someone can help?
I still unwrapped all the wire harness from the kick panel module, thru door pass thru, then in door itself. No chafing or stresses found to validate compromise of the wires. Door harness is good. I have to now say power is being supplied forward of door harness. Is there a door relay or is that module providing the switching?

Thanks in advance!!
