Hi Lads... Mick from London Uk hoping to ask a few questions, I have just purchased a 1996 Amazon 4.5 petrol ( I know i'm mad here in the UK at 85 pence a litre) what the hell, I love it, I was checking on the auto box fluid, done all the usaul things, upto running temp, moved gear shift through all the possitions and then checked the level, it was on the lower level of the cold check at the bottom of the dip stick.
I have now filled gearbox up to the upper level of the hot line, it took 2 litres, the gearbox was opperating fine before the fill up, do you think any damage might have been caused running the box so low on oil?

Probably not. It would probably have to be about 3-4 liters low before it would starve for oil.
