Free.... 1F engine

Block casing is 11411-60030 with a date of Feb 1, 1971
Head casting is 60031 with a date of Jan 28, 1971

It was pulled out of a 1968 FJ40. I ran well when i pulled it out and even compression tested it
110-115-120-120-120-145

I dropped the pan to see the overall condition and other than a few of the old style cotter pins that are on the rod bolts at the bottom of the panel it looked good. I checked the rod bearings and again the normal wear. Same with the crank. I reassembled the bearing with assembly lube and put all the caps back on. Dont think i torqued them down. Also looked at the oil pump and looked good. Did not torque down the the oil pan bolt or pipe lines.

It had a leaky frezze plug and i knocked out the 2 on the side and one in the back and cleaned it out .

I bought the replacement freeze plugs. I need to find them but they are free with the new valve cover bolts. I may have a new head gasket for it i bought in case. Again free with the pickup.

Eventuallyfound a strong 2F, thus the need to let it go.

North east Austin area.

Thanks
Ernie
