I didn't get a lot of pics, I was having too much fun, i took a few screen shots of some of the vids so i can show off the ranger to the previous owners and the ranger station forum. But that place is awesome, the drive can wear you out, but if you're showing up to a cabin it's worth it.

Even if random strangers walk into it in the middle of the night.

Bobby's moon shine was great, lotta dust out there, but i'd rather have that than mud.

I know i said i was leaving early on sunday, and i DID!

But after the days of wheeling, the ranger let me know it needed some time off and for me to take it easy. Thats why Drew and Fred saw me at the visitors center, and how i got behind Kevin on the way back.

I wanted to stop and get some windex so i could clean the dust from the inside of the windshield. Figured i'd fuel up to, thats when i found the fuel tank had a vent break, or something happen with the sending unit seal. Gas poured out the top when the fuel filler clicked off.

Not gonna lie. I've driven worse. Andrew and Matt rode with the day before, and we all thought we smelled gas. Lee behind me was saying the same. So we wheeled for at least 6 hours on Saturday like this while the truck was at 3/4 tank of fuel. I thought about the risk, and decided i'd drive it home still. 4.5 hours, and i have fire extinguishers. Don't want to get into debates, just letting yall know my thought process.

So, went inside, got windex. Came back to see coolant pouring onto the ground.

Chamber split open. But this was impressive to me. Again, two days of wheeling and banging this thing around, leaving it idling on the trail, 3k rpm up hills in 4 lo, technical wheeling with banging and high rpm while the truck creeped and the engine fan did all the work to pull air through. So there was no help cooling the engine by driving, this thing sat and stayed cool on its own, all weekened.

Made my way to walmart, got some epoxy, and got it to slow down. Still drove it 4.5 hours home! Temps never got high and it didn't leave me stranded.

All in all, it was a fun weekend, and i would definitely go back!

Wow, quite a story and glad that you got home safely! Awesome wheeling with you (and socializing too)! Andrew's Exploder basically dripped all of his transfer case ATF (that he added on Thursday) all over my windshield on the ride home...smoking like a chimney as the ATF hit the cat every few seconds...I had him on call to pull over fast if I saw flames! That and the trash bag on the window fit the look!

His explorer was killing it out there, very impressed with what it was doing despite the t-case issues!

Also let him know he was right about the explorer rear axles all being the same width! we were having very in depth discussions about ford parts and i've been researching some of his recommendations!!!

Did anyone happen to grab the blue and purple shopping bags from the main kitchen? I forgot them and shouldn’t have.

What a great adventure! Great trails, people, meals, and memories. The wheeling was a blast, we will definitely be back.

I don't recall seeing them in the kitchen when I did a final walkthrough for my stuff. Maybe someone packed them by mistake?

Yeah, I looked through everything...unless it was stuffed into a cabinet door that I forgot to check, but not sitting in plain sight for sure upon departure. I did see the rice cooker gone though...I definitely would have grabbed that! 🥢

And I think this needs to be on our annual schedule for a regular trip...basically empty trails and no traffic, but lots to offer for every level even though it's a smaller property. Cabins were very nice and well equipped in my opinion for the $$. Worked out to $225 per person for 3 nights of accomodations and the wheeling was something like $56 for the weekend??

+1 on this being an annual thing. Reasonable pricing and good trails on site make it a great place for a long weekend run.
