Now that looks like fun. Great pictures and glad your manual swap worked out well. Bummer about popping out of 4WD. Is there enough to keep your busy a full day or two? Any good camping in the area?

I just ended up going around post this weekend....NOT THAT FUN. But found some issues of my own I need to address so it was a good thing. About 2 minutes after this post I rolled up on a field full of Apache's and an Air Traffic Controler Looking down on me. I figured it was time to roll out of there as fast as I could. Pretty sure I was fine though as there were no signs at all around there. Probably would have made a more interesting picture!

Hope to get up there one of these days.

I'd try coming had there not been an event down here. The rocks on the side, are you allowed to get off the trail and hop on them?

posts 33-35 are from what they call the "rock garden" - I think anything in there is fair game. The first time we went out there the guys working there actually led us out there and told us to go for it. There was an older bronco playing on the bigger rocks. They had the whole area cleared out but there is more of a pronounced trail there now. Clarence got into a little trouble off the beaten path in that area the first time we went out there.

One thing that seems to be obvious out here is that in their trail rating system - extreme=steep, advanced=rocky or slight steep, easy=easy. There was one trail we took that was STEEP. It made a 90 degree turn halfway down and I didn't think I was going to make it. The truck just kept going straight with the wheels turned and finally grabbed at the edge. If I had a hand throttle I could have probably reversed and gotten a better angle. I was also in 2wd(not by my choice), so that may have contributed too.

Trouble? Just testing the limits..... So has it improved?

Looks like a good time. Elbert, that is a nice looking 60. Thanks for the pictures.

Thanks... I take credit for the questionable pics of the 80..

Other than it was #$(%& hot... had a good time.

I'm still in the R&D phase on my fan shroud...looks like it may need some additional modification.

Hey guys I know this is late coming but hollar when yawl are wheeling here again, as of now I pass this park exit 4 times a week..... Heading to Honda 2 a week.

let me know ahead of time & i'll make a trip down..... hopefully when its cooler!!!

I went out there sat by myself....kind of a test run... there are a couple of nice hills if you take the advanced trails or "extreme" trails that branch off to the left after you cross the bridge coming into the riding area. Was checking out the mod I made to the fan shroud. I would say my truck runs maybe 5 degree cooler a little improveemnt but not much. One of these weekends I'm going to pull the shroud and make two more mods that come to mind.

My issue is that I have to kind of attack some of those hills at speed....due to my limited slips I can't just crawl in some palace...I have to be moving. I'm really thinking about putting the locker I have back in the rear diff and potentially having some type of locker put in the front. You can't attack the rocky areas at speed...Like I seem to need to do at present.

Of course not many real rocky areas at the cullman park...but its the nearest "trail" to my location.

Not may people out there ...just saw a two side/by'side things and a few motorcycles.
