Hi guys I'm completely new to this forum. I have a Prado 120 series 2007. My airbags recently failed and I have them replaced with ordinary coil springs from a Mitsubishi Montero. I live in the Dominican Republic and it is very difficult to get any OEM parts for Toyota over here. So the easiest solution for the time being was to get a spring that would fit however I am not happy with it at all. I've been doing a lot of digging online to see what would be the most convenient way for me I am looking to ultimately change the coils again with either an FJ Cruiser coil or a 4Runner coil spring. The biggest challenge I have is that the ride feels pretty stiff. I am really looking for a more comfortable option. I want the ride quality to be as close as possible to the original airbag setup. Can anyone give me an idea what the ride quality seems to be with strutmasters, arnott or MY? Or should I just go with Stock 4runner or FJ Oem Coils. I am not looking for a lift nor do I want to change my shocks. I know this seems to be an issue all across and I have been ready through threads for weeks now but it seems virtually impossible to keep up. So many opinions and great ideas but I am simply looking to restore the original ride quality using coils. Thank you guys in advance!

If your looking to lift the rear I have had some Dunlop bags from airbag man for about 12 months. Love the ride and height adjustability of airbags.
How do you like these so far? Do you wheel them? I was thinking of picking up a kit along with their manual inflation kit should the compressor go out (probably never will, had an older gx for 14 yeas, compressor never even blinked an eye).

Waiting for an update on these airbags as well.... Wanting to keep the adjustable ride height

Reviving this post from the dead but I replaced my leaking rear OEM bags with Arnott bags on my 2005 and I feel like the ride is.... slightly rougher? Can't tell if it's placebo but I feel more bump and bounce going over rough roads after the swap. Have yet to test it fully loaded (which may be better than before) or off road. I was hitting the bump stop when wheeling with the old OEM bags, maybe won't with these stiffer bags. Overall it's sitll fairly comfortable and I like having the adjustable height option for towing.

If your bags were leaking they probably leaked a bit every time you hit a hard bump and that would make them feel softer I would guess.
