I painted the bib black, actually black primer, probably that way for the whole time I owned it.

Nice tires, how do you like them? Many have complained about their wet handling abilities, which is pushing me away from getting a set myself.

It doesnt look like it has tubes in the pic....but...you can run tubes in non split rims

Here are a couple of different views. I cant say how they do off road as we just finished a complete frame-off resto and I cant bring myself to give it a go yet.

I am running tubes.

aren't these jump seats in on the wrong sides-L/R?

I thought that the taper in the early style was to allow the jump seats to be posted up-right without having to tilt the front seats?

just a thought, mine weren't installed when I purchased my vehicles.

I know...I always liked the "look", and this will not be a trail rig...more of a Sunday driver type rig once completed, (no snow, no rain, no mud) so I am really reconsidering my options...sure wish I could find a set of RK3's...then it would be a no brain er.

I noticed the dual windows in the bi-fold...was that your mod, or did you find it that way...and more importantly, how do you like it from the driver's seat? What did you use for seals on the Bi-Fold and Bug Catchers?

I had to fabricate the tail light brackets as the originals had been replaced with some military type lights. They should be bolted on the back of the bumper I guess, but did'nt want to refabricate as my spacing was off a bit and the lights hit the body. The other photo is the stock bracket and light on my '69.

I think the 14mm lens I used to photograph the back seats distorted the seats showing them tapered a bit. Heres a straight on shot.

The bi-fold rear door is original. I was able to recondition the original weather stripping on the bug catcher and rear door.

I'll post a thread with more photos of the resto.

That's the truth there. Not that there's anything wrong with going big, but once you go that route it's like a snowball effect, all starting with the tires....................

Well...I sat down with my daughter (remember, we are restoring this thing together) and we went back and forth on it, but she finally decided on the Primex tires that Jim C got, mainly because we do want to use the truck, and who knows where we'll be, when ever the weather might turn...besides, this will be her Cruiser, and I really want her to enjoy it!

So, do I get the rims powder coated black, or do I get them painted black?
