Well, the Cooper and Multi-Mile/Cordovan were both running $120-$130 with no dickering..........special order. I'm cheap. I don't agree that a second tier/generic bias ply should cost as much as a first quality radial in about the same size.

So I went with these, Primex Trakmaster 700-15, 30.1" OD. $80/ea shipped. I'll let you know what they look like. Yes, they're Chinese.

The 750-16 is a huuuge tire. 32" OD. :D I actually was going to go with the Nanking, then by chance saw these on Ebay, missed them before.

Primex 700-15 tires came today, this tire is much nicer looking than I expected, nice crisp molding and what looks and feels like a decent compound. Time will tell.

Anyone wondering why I wanted this size, here's why. 700-15 next to a 235/75R-15 and then next to the Michelin XZL in 650R-16.

nice. those really look like the jeep service tires. Are they 6 or 8 ply, I can't read what's on the side. I'm assuming bias ply too?

8 ply bias, the sidewalls seem really thick. :)

Wow...they look great...will we get a quick road report by Monday?

So...are they mounted yet?

Looking forward to seeing them on a cruiser.:bounce:

Maybe tonight, I've got to cut some trees before they start to get pumped up for the spring.........................looking like the new floor for heating oil is going to be $3 a gallon.

I like the look of them Jim. Can't wait to see the tall skinnirs on a 25. Do they make these for 16" too? I might be able to find some 16" wheels somewhere.

John

A little off-topic, but I've got some 9.00x16 NDT's available if anyone wants some...

They have never been mounted...

PM me

Primex 700-15, this tire is one heavy...........if you have any thoughts about mounting them yourself..............don't. Pay the money and have someone do it. The tread depth in the center is 19/32", immediately off the center the tread gets deeper...........hard to explain but when they're worn I'd expect them to look like a NDT.
