I picked these up at Cabelas in the bargen cave for $15.00. They are boat seat armrests. For someone with less than perfect leather or cloth seats that needs armrests they may work for you. I first figured a good height. Than removed seats. The measurement for me was about 2" from the top of the inner plastic on the inside of each seat to the bottom/lowest point of the armrest bracket, measured at a slight angle to where the bracket actualy bults to the seat. I unzipped the seat cover, fitted the bracket to the vertical steel along the edge of the seat by drilling two holes and cutting slits in the cover for the bolts. They seam to work great. I will cover them with a gray fabric to help them blend in.

Looks sweet. The mouth on that beer in your cup=holder is HUGE!

nice job dude, very clever and practical. You should be proud.

Great find and a clean install. I've been thinking for a good while that it would be way more comfortable to have an elbow rest for the driving arm.

can we see couple of more pics of your install?

thanks

Boise store. They had one more set left as of Sunday. They were giving an additional 30% auto/boating goods through the end of the month. I didn't get any pics of the install itself, but here is another. I used carrage bolts and double nutted them. They tightened up great. Once I get some fabric and paint the brackets they will blend in fine. Today was my first day driving around with them and they are great.

Is there any way to put the bolts the other way? Those nuts would be hell on someones knee in a quick stop........

Nice job. Arm rests are the one things these seats need. I hate having to lean over to put my arm on the center arm rest that is to low....

Tenesseejed, yes, spitter I just push them in with my thumb.
slam58, The bolts could go the other way. It would be a bit harder install. I wanted them out incase they got loose. I'm going to put some of those rubber nipple things on the that sometimes come on the end of bolt threds.
