1994 FJZ80 North Arkansas. $14,500 obo
Brief Background:
Purchased in early 2019 as a bone stock non-runner with 320k-ish on the clock. It included a known good running 1fz from a ‘97 that had been wrecked. I did the motor swap as well as a whole slough of maintenance during the swap. More on that below. I have carfax on my 80, and the 80 that the 1fz came from. The salvage motor had a last reported mileage of 158k in 2017 and was reported salvage 10/2018. So while actual engine miles aren’t quite known, I would guess they are in the 175k range.

General info:
Selling because it just doesn’t get used enough. I’ve owned the truck since 2019 and have done every bit of the work myself, but put very few miles on it. It’s been wheeled 4-5 times at Hot Springs Off-road Park, used at my hunting camp 1 year as a gravel road cruiser, and driven around town.
A/C and heat work. Only little leak is at the steering box input seal. There is a spot of rust where one of the old rear spoiler mounts used to be. I trimmed the rear quarters due to some rust that was starting at the bottom of them in the pinch weld. They were replaced with new metal welded in, primed, and raptor lined. It is original cloth interior with cheapo water-proof seat covers. Cloth underneath is in really good shape. I still have the 3rd row seats. Drivers side seat foam bottom is starting to break down. Frame and underside are in good shape. This truck leaked every fluid known to man when I brought it home. The silver lining to that is the frame/underside was well preserved with oily buildup.
Overall this is a solid 80 that has received a low-mileage engine swap. New owner won’t have to worry about doing costly, time consuming base line maintenance and can instead focus on adding their own personal touches.
I wanted a simple build so I bought the most basic 80 I could find and tried not to load it down with add ons. That leaves somewhat of a blank canvas for the next owner.
