Mechanical: Baselined by Ryan at Miyaki and Steve at RPM in 2020 when I bought it with around 108K miles on it. Plugs, vacuum hoses, PHH, fluids, BIRFs rebuilt, Aisin black fan clutch rebuilt with 15K fluid. Replaced PS pump earlier this year but otherwise our 80 has been trouble free.
Drivetrain: Eibach lift (approx 2”) with Metaltech front caster plates and Delta rear panhard relocation bracket. Regeared to 4:56 and added an Aussie Locker to rear. Front is factory open diff. 7-pin mod with CDL selectable switch on dash.
Electrical: Slee second battery kit with AGM battery in place. Powers 2 12V cigarette plugs in the rear cargo area for frig, lights, etc. Baja Designs Squadron front fogs.
Wheels/Tires: Fifteen52 Analogs with 285/75/17 Nexen AT tires. Nexen was the OE tire on my Ram truck and I’ve been impressed with how quiet these tires are. Great in dirt and sand (which is mostly what we have in SoCal, Southern Nevada and Arizona. Full size 285/75/17 spare on an FJ steelie using Wits relocation bracket and steelie lugs in the glove box.
Paint/Interior: Full COVID restoration in 2020. New 2-tone green and white FJ55 tribute outside with OE roof rack removed. Interior has new carpet, door panels, sun visors, window seals, the big $ Scheel Mann Vario XL front seats, Pioneer double DIN Apple CarPlay head unit with Rockford Fosgate speakers. New tint.
I’m sure I’m forgetting something but happy to chat by phone to answer questions.
Reason for selling: Don’t drive the 80 much now that I have a 200. Wife drives a modded GX460.
