It doesn't look like that 40 has a place to fill up the gas tank?

The rattle can fairy's less seen cousin, the paint brush has paid a visit to this vehicle a time or 2......

It said no free rides in the ad. I figured I'd fly out from Florida to go for a free ride. Guess that's not happening. I hope that thick paint has metal under it somewhere. Maybe some POR15 to hold together the rust pieces. ONLY offers over 20K. GLWS

Maybe it's an electric hybrid? Hacked dash. Wrong seats.
You don't fill it on the driver's side either. Where does the gas go?

Sounded a wee bit bitchy. Nice ride- Seats cool, dash kaka.

Fj40 Landcruisers do you much more than compete with any Jeep, Bronco, Blazer, Land Rover, etc. They crush them, because FJ40s are tough as nails, there is no competition for a Landcruiser. For example look at Australia, one of the roughest terrains in the world. Australia is the biggest market for Landcruiser‘s in the world. Because they’re smart & they want the best and toughest 4 x 4 to rely on. Period.

I agree for the most part. Sixties the 40 series ruled as far as toughness and horse power unlike GM and Ford came out with V8s. Just wish as Toyota had upgrade to the drivetrain we had got them here. Find it hard to believe getting a diesel engine into the US would have been a problem in 72 when the BJ40 started. More restrictions on petrol than diesel back then. No H41 or H55F. Full floating rear axles. I wonder if the US wasn't the home of the jeep if we would have gotten better equipped 40 series in different versions. Or if they always just used the FJ40 to get a foothold in the US to sell cars.
