Are the AHC/non rear sway bar brackets the same? (1 Viewer)

Changing out the LX AHC 23mm rear sway bar for the LC 24mm sway bar. I initially only got new 24mm D bushings, but when they arrived it seemed like the new bushings didn't fit properly in the brackets... so then I ordered new LC brackets.

I have a sneaking suspicion that I'm an idiot, since these brackets are the same size, and the bushing is probably meant to be a little 'oversized' to get a good cushy tight fit. The old ones were so worn that they were smushed in.

PS: does McGeorge take returns?

On my 2006 LC brackets are the same P/N. Bushings are different.

What's weird is the truck felt no different with the rear sway bar off, and doesn't feel any different now with the new sway bar and bushings/end links on. Pretty disappointing and kinda baffling.
