i am removing running boards and want to know if sliders are necessary.

what do you mean by "little offroad"? if it my definition then no.

I drove my LC for 8 years without sliders or running boards. Just get mudflaps and put them on. They look good that way.

By my definition of little off road, you are better off without the running boards if you have no lift. You will be able to take slightly more challenging trails with less risk of body damage from the running boards being pushed into the body. You have essentially gained clearance at your rockers by removing them. Throw some 285s on the truck, crank the torsions a bit to level it out and you can do many of the trails in Moab. :bounce2:

necessary? No, as long as you don't hit the rocker panels... :)
