Any one know if any more 200’s coming in to USA , had a dealer tell me he has 2021 land cruisers and 4runners still coming in … I don’t trust most dealers .

I keep getting letters and emails from my local dealer wanting my 2015 at a premium and they’d get me in a 2021. I called the GM and said “if you have a 2021 actually in your possession, I’d talk. No dealer trade shenangian like we’ll find one for you”

He got sheepish after that.

I think only @Eric Sarjeant would be able to comment with any real knowledge….

Monthly US Land Cruiser sales in recent months:
May - 664
June - 240
July - 67

My current experience shopping for LX
No dealers within 350 miles from me have any in stock
Some dealers have some LXs coming in by end of September
Nation-wide there is some in stock currently but none in color combo I wanted.

My dealer was able to secure one via dealer trade and it should be here end of September. From what I understand they (my dealer) had LX coming to them and they were able to dealer-trade with other dealership on color I wanted. However, those 5 that coming in to US in colors I wanted were all "Reserved". My dealer took deposit to make sure I am serious but wasn't sure if they will be able to get it.

Now rumors from dealers:
A. There will be no change to LX for 2022 so they can order new for me but it would be 3-6mo wait
B. There will be new model LX(300) and will be announced shortly but no more LX570
C. All incoming cars sold/spoken for before they arrive to lots

From my friend shopping for LC: There is no LC 200 on lots or very few. Definitely can't "shop". Most command markup.

Just read a report Toyota is taking a production hit next month they are cutting production by 40% next month . I would think not going to see any new 200’s .
I seen one 2021 at Parkway Toyota in NJ , everyone is putting a premium on all these , even the 4runner Pro seen a dealer tacking on 10k right up front is crazy .

Interesting... I've been thinking it's time to trade up from our '08 4Runner V8 to a 200 series. We'll see if I can find one.

200 LC production was supposed to be over at the end of March. I suppose no more 200 LC shipments now? When I spoke with @Eric Sarjeant at LCDC I think he said no more incoming LCs, it's done. I'd be surprised if they continued (will continue) to make 200-series LX, but who knows. So, yeah, I am glad I bought the 2021 HE back in January.

If only LX wasn't so hideous in front (though fixable with a steel bumper), and particularly if it didn't have the awful joystick interface (not fixable, sadly), it would be an interesting option for a more road oriented 200. But then I am really impressed how well stock LX do offroad with AHC. Although the complexity of AHC is probably something I would not want to deal with down the road. But if someone is okay with those, I think LX remains a very compelling option. There are and will be so many more of them on the used market.

1) I read it as LX300 and almost spit out my coffee. LOL can you imagine?
2) A 2023 model year refresh is sad to hear but im also not surprised as things are so royally screwed up everywhere.
3) This means there will probably be very very few 2022 LX570s and this is good for me because ive already built a stupid amount of equity in 1 year on my purchase. With those LC sales figures, theres no way anyone will get one of the last examples of 200 platform for anywhere near sticker this year or next.

Fingers crossed some are stuck on a ship with all of the ships lined up at various ports.

You all can have my 2019 for merely $125k cash…and rumor has it that 2019 was the best year of LC200…trust me. Let the offers come in!

I'm not selling my built 2013 at any price. Let the bidding begin 🙃

I can't find the thread anymore, but I thought there was a dealer/salesman in the midwest who would periodically post what inventory he had coming in? Anyone remember the username?

More LXs will be coming in.

That said, LC and LX production will take a huge hit in September with 20 lost days of production (M-F, 2 shifts)

How long does it take from production to delivery? If dealer said it will be here in about 30 days, does it mean it is already produced?

How long does it take for a ship to travel from Nagoya Wharf to Long Beach, PDX, Baltimore, Jacksonville, Houston or Port of Newark? 2-3 weeks, and then from port to dealer.

This is what I am worrying about. If build confirmed and reserved to me, with estimate 30 days, can't it be pulled by factory? It may not be produced yet...
