ARB switch locations in my 60

There is a switch blank to the left of the steering wheel. This is where I put the compressor switch. It was a loose fit so I make a little "gasket" from a piece of sheet rubber and it works fine.

The front & rear switches I put in the large square blank to the right of the steering wheel. I took a gray plastic electrical box cover I got at the hardware store and made an insert to fit in the dash depression with a hole to fit the two switches. The plastic adapter is glued onto the dash using silicone glue.

me too.

That's exactly what I did.

I used the switch brackets from Waytek.

Made a "shelf" for the compressor and a fuse block.

was the place of empty coin pockeds as you see in the one that I left there .. I wire the ARB switches under the carpet and under the console .. from my compresor that it's in the stock bottle jack place ..

If I ever fall in to a pot of money and can actually afford selectable lockers :) I will be using an OEM "Lock/Unlock" switch in one of the existing blank dash locations next to the defog or rear wiper.

These switches are found in some JDM trucks and were used to lock and unlock the power lock for the tailgate. I don't think any North American '60's had power locks only the '62's. I have one that I picked up in Costa Rica from a JDM 1/2 cut.

Kinda hard to see, but I put mine right under the 'Choke' light to the left of the steering column next to the dash light dimmer.

I thought they only offered CABLE lockers in 60/62 series ?

That's right! If you read carefully you'll see that the original application for that switch is a tailgate electric lock but I can't see why it wouldn't work for the ARB.

could be a better spot .. ?

Same spot I used but I added a covered switch like planes use to kill power to the compressor to keep accidents from happening:rolleyes:
