I need to get a front winch bumper for my 1994 HZJ 73. I would really like the ARB deluxe bull bar, but there seems to be a long back order on all of them. The Dobinsons bumper looks pretty similar…. Anyone have any insight on the ARB vs. Dobinsons on build quality, etc?

ARB are the best option IMO, I run them on everything and they always fit well and perform well

ARB would be my vote. Though if you want something more low profile there are other options too (Coastal Offroad for one).

I have had ARBs on two land cruisers and two tacomas. Never had an issue. Gives you a good place for a winch mount, lights, recovery points, protection for the whole front and core. Weight is not horrible (until you add a bunch of stuff). My only gripe is the cost but you have to pay for quality. At least with the Tacoma's and 60-series you can find them used and get a better deal. The 70 I looked for a year and one came up on the opposite coast. With shipping a new one was cheaper.

I think ARB is the better option. Quality aside, Dobinsons has been having stock issues leading to outrageous lead times for 70-Series parts.

I’m only speaking from my experience, but if I had to once again wait more than a few months for my Dobinsons order to arrive, I would immediately look elsewhere. Never had this issue with ARB!
