Done a search but nothing really relevant.

The rear ARB locker does not appear to be working.

When the locker is 'on' and with the back jacked up, turning one wheel by hand will turn the other. OK.

When the locker is 'off' and with the back jacked up, turning one wheel by hand the other will stay still. OK.

However offroad its a different story, the locker is not performing as it was when new, its almost like its 'slipping' and not actually locking.

Any ideas?

As far as I know the ARB-locker, it's either activated or not. There is no inbetween.
Have you tried (when testing) and turning the wheel by hand -with the locker engaged- that the other wheel can not be stopped? If so then the locker is not really engaged. Is the airpressure delivered by the compressor sufficent so that it really pushes the locker plunger into it's locked position?

It's either on or off.

There is no slip possible.

Are you using the ARB compressor?

Make sure that your air pressure is up to spec. and that the solenoid is allowing full volume to enter and leave the differential (ie: no obstruction or kinking in air lines).

Are there any noises when it's engaged and "slipping" ?

I have never had such a problem with an air locker that you are describing, so have a look and see what you can find. Air lockers do need to be serviced from time to time with new seals, but it's certainly not a frequent interval (like 5 years or more).

Make sure that you oil is appropriate and fresh.

The only thing I can think of is an installation problem - if you have to, remove the third member and inspect the air locker, the bearing pre-load (carrier), and the integrity of the case halves of the air locker.

I have fr and rr ARB locker from the same ARB compressor. The front is ok, no problem. Air pressure is at it should be. Only difference is there is oil in the air line to the rr, the fr no.

A year plus back the locker was out and it ws reported the bearing load carrier was worn. No piccies of this and I did not see it as I was away at the time.

The locker is definity on and off, as described in the 1st post.

If I find a piccy of the ARB locker I'll post the worn part.

Take the locker apart, clean the gear oil out of the locker and air supply line and things should work.

:meh:

are you loosing pressure in the line ( rear ) when the ARB it's engaged ?

No, pressure is maintained. Checked with an inline gauge.

how much it was in the time you keept the gauge connected ?
