E locker issues (1 Viewer)

Hey all

Got E - lockers for my 75 build, the lockers were installed roughly 1.5 years ago but only today ive wired them up, the rear locker works as it should but the front locker keeps blowing fuses instantly, like a dead short. Here's a list of tests I've conducted :

-Swapped the relays
-Swapped switches
- tested with locker unplugged
- tested rear locker on front locker wiring
- ign wires are common ( same power source)
-disconnected from locker plug
-pulled the harness out to check for bared wiring ( most wiring in conduit)
- tested resistance everywhere ( max .07 ohms )

Nothing physically wrong with harness that i can see but it still just blows the fuse instantly

Any help or recommendations would be greatly appreciated

I don't think so, it still does it with the locker disconnected from the harness.

Rightio...so pulled the whole harness to bench test, de-pinned the relay base and played around with the 30/87 and 86/85 pins still no luck..next thought I decided to remove the load wire from 87 pin, as its the only wire heatshunk with the neg and diode between the two, fuse didn't pop! Cut off the heat Shrink and found when the harness was built the diode ends between the pos and neg where giving me a dead short by touching the wire joins....fkn pre setup fir failure

You can see the burn mark on the pos side from the deadshort
