I actually just shot this pic to ARB to ask but I believe I have heard of others having the same problem. The amount of Oil coming out of this when in use is polluting the drivers side of my engine bay. I have tried to tighten it but it seems to be coming out of the top i think almost like a blow off, anyone else have this problem? Its only one of them not both. Is this the solenoid?

Well,

The air compressor is not lubricated, so if there is oil coming out of the vent on the solenoid, then the problem is on the axle end. Each time you disengage the locker, the air is vented through the solenoid. If the seal in the locker begins to leak, then oil will be carried from the diff up to the solenoid. It sounds like you will need to disassemble the locker and replace the seal to fix.

Good luck,
Dan

An all too common problem that's been around for a looooong time. General rule for axles: less air, more oil.

the real question i guess then is, will it affect the engaging/disengaging of my locker?

Mine does that too. I would be interested in reading whatever ARB tells you. Please post it.

not for along time(if ever), ran mine like that for over a year before I replace the seal or whatever in the locker.

Quite possibly a seal in the locker, it's painstaking to get it set up right. You might want to check the axle housing breather tube to ensure it isn't plugged.

Ran mine like that for about 5 years before I sold that rig...would just keep tabs on your diff oil, and be happy that its being flushed.
