How much does an ARB weigh? Before I purchase one I'd like to know how one of them would ride on a stock suspension.

Trapper, I gotta say - those headlight doors look waaay better blacked in the center like that. Looks like the list of mods to be done just grew by one more.

Thanks man

Thanks, you saw the thread on what I did right?

It's a two stage with Cast Iron color duplicote ceramic and satin black, alot of masking but worth it I think

Will the old ARB take an 8274?

Will the old ARB take an 8274?

I've got an 8274-50 in mine. Took the removal of one of the light tabs, and a touch of clearancing with a grinder (I believe you can get away without for the older 8274s).

I'm not certain, but I believe there were 2 styles of olds ARB winch bars, one intended for the 8274, one intended for planetary winches.

I have the ARB commercial bar on my 80 and that is designed for the 8274 and would require spacers to take a planetary winch. I didn't know if they did the same for 60s. When I called ARB a few weeks ago for new light buckets, I asked about the availability of the 80 series commercial bar and I was told they stopped importing that model a few years ago and only import the winch and non winch Deluxe model for the 80s. We didn't have the 62 yet (or even considering one) or I'd have asked them about the 60s.

I have an older 8274, but it is on my rig. I may put a planetary winch on the wife's 62 or get another 8274 if it isn't too hard to fit in an old style ARB.

There were two styles of the old arb. One was feet forward and one was feet down. The 8274 was designed to be mounted feet forward and would be a difficult job fitting it into a the wrong bumper. One the other hand many of the winches that require the feet down approach can be rotated to fit a feet forward position. I have a 12.5 t-max in mine and it took 15 min to undo part of the winch and rotate it forward. It also seems to me that it is more logical to have the base mounted in suck a way that the winch is pulled into it feet position instead of at a 90 deg angle to the mount as feet down units require.
