I wonder if it’s possible that there’s something different about the antenna on a 2021 compared to prior years. Seems unlikely, but maybe there was a change in their sourcing.

I don't have a definitive answer. I looked it up and SiriusXM is only in the US, Canada and Puerto Rico. I also looked back through my pictures from when I was in the Middle East (pics of 100's of 200 series) and don't see any shark fin antennae. That isn't an answer, but it leads me to believe it is not a ROW thing, but maybe some our international members can chime in?Even accounting for this it surprises me that ARB would overlook figment issues on upper trim models.
Is the US antenna the same as on ROW VX/VX-R’s?

I have a 2016 and I will bet they are the same at least from the 2016's onward. My Gobi rack was specific to the 2016 and has a "cut out" of sorts for the fin. So others were aware and worked around it. I was looking at other rack options last night and at least one other one (may have been Prinsu or Front Runner seems to have a cutout or something that avoided a conflict with the fin. So other makers accommodated the fin without simply increasing the height of the rack.

Ok, so we called ARB today and get this, they said oh yes, we have a fit issue. ARB is developing a different fit kit etc. blah blah blah but that does not help me now. I guess we will have to custom fab some spacers to bring it up a little higher. WTH! Photo shows we took the shark fin off to see how much space we need, and it is about 3/4"

Looks like the 4Running crew has seen this issue: Toyota-4Runner.org - https://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/215885-low-profile-xm-shark-fin-antenna-swap-3.htmlCant
The shark fin has the SOS telematics in it. So we really cannot modify it.
Most likely thisWhich is why no really low profile racks exist for the 200 probably. . .
Any solutions to this yet? I'm hoping it was just a fitment issue overlooked by the installer?Good morning. So we have an issue or "opportunity". We have been working to install the new ARB Base Rack on our 2021 build. The Base Rack does not clear the Shark Fin.
ARB has confirmed the issue and they've stopped US shipment of the racks until they have a solution (this is according to Mainline Overland through whom I have a rack on order). I'll update this thread when I get more information.Any solutions to this yet? I'm hoping it was just a fitment issue overlooked by the installer?
