This year the show will be benefiting The Victory Junction and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC....

If you would like to enter the show and be part of the festivities and be able to enter the raffle and take advantage of all the fun what I would like to do is have you all email me. The price of the registration is $10 and a minimum of 2 cans of canned food. The canned food is going directly to the food back. Included in that price is 1 shirt, a swag bag, and windshield placard with your name and info. Additional t-shirts will be $5.

To enter the show:
--please send payment via Paypal gift payment to:

soclbtrfly@gmail.com

Angie (who's screen name at NCFJ Cruisers is soclbtrfly) is the accountant for this event and she is the one who is going to receive the payments then forward info to Mike to match up for registration.

Then I need you to email Mike at deweysdad2011@gmail.com

Here is what you need to include in that email:

--full name
--IH8MUD screen name
--email address (so that Mike can match you with your paypal payment)
--quantity of shirt(s) and sizes of shirt(s)
(you will get one shirt included with your registration)
--Mike will also need some basic information about your vehicle that will be entered in the show. make, model, year....

If you have ANY questions at all, no matter how mundane it may seem, PLEASE email Mike.

We really look forward to having you all join us and we hope that we can do this with as little trouble as possible. Having to run this info across several FORUMS is not an easy thing to do, but with your help and patience I'm sure it will go nicely!!
Again we greatly look forward to seeing and meeting you on April 27th. Hopefully this show will be huge...

Hope some of you can make it! Unfortunately beer isn't allowed at the event, but some beer will be found afterwards and likely accompanied by some food.

Remember this is all for charity and fun! Come join us, do some mall crawling, eat some food, and let your FJ socialize!

Updated details:
Meeting at Triangle Town Center before 9am, as the police escorted convoy will roll out at 9:30, whether we're there or not. We'll be lining up in one row of the parking lot, and the FJ Cruisers will start lining up in a seperate line. I'll have Trail leader and tail gunner magnets with me. Those trailering may want to think of dropping the trailers off at Leith, and then going back to the mall. I'll confirm the area with John at Leith.

We'll leave the parking lot, make a right on Capital, and then a left on Gresham Lake Rd, then a right onto the access road leading past the new car dealerships into Lieth. A photographer will snap a picture of us coming down the access road into the parking lot. We'll move into the lot, and he'll snap another picture of the FJ Cruisers after us.

Those that have registered will recieve their swag bag, and need to fill out a photograph waiver for potential use in a magazine. You'll receive a raffle ticket, and additional ones can be bought for the participant raffle for $5 a piece (max 20 tickets).

It'll take a an hour or so to get everyone parked and settled in. Steve from SEO will do a recovery class on the hill behind the parking lot, and have they have asked that Darin do the Tread Lightly at the same time. I'll get in touch with Steve to see how it could fit together.

After that lunch will be served hamburgers/hotdogs/drinks. I'd wear sunscreen becuase it's going to be cool and sunny, and on a blacktop all day, you'll get some sun!

Last year, the RPD had the convoy pull out of the Town Center almost 10 minutes early, and since they're our escort, we followed. If you can show up a few minutes early, it'd be helpful.

The raffle is at the end of the show and you need to be present to win.

After the show is over, a lot of us go play on the hill and trail across the street for some photo ops. It's a steep grassy hill overlooking Leith, so it's also a great place to climb earlier and get some good overview shots of the show.

We're organizing a convoy from the Triad area and from the Wilmington area to get to the Town Center. The Triad and west convoy is meeting at the rest area in Burlington just after the Red Oak Brewery and exit 139 on I-85/40 on the right. We're planning on getting out of there at 6:45am which will put us at the Town Center pretty early, but we stand around, talk and have fun in the meantime. The Wilmington convoy is leaving at 6:30 and they're meeting at the Buy & Go just before I-40 (808 N College Rd).

Last year we used channel 12 for the convoys and I assume we'll use it again this year.

Yes, I had spoke with John at Leith Toyota about coming out and supporting NCFJ Cruisers, but had not posted yet. In the past this show had overlapped with our Spring Tide Ride, so we weren't able to plan to attend.

So, with that said, and details still emerging we'll start the discussion on who will make it. I have ONSC spec sheets to use to place the details of your truck for truck shows. We'll also have a tent to place some of our magazine spreads from Toyota Trails and Four Wheeler magazine, club cards and stickers, along with a viewing area for the upcoming Logan's Run video shot by Scott Clark Toyota.

This year we're doing everything to benefit Victory Junction and the Food Bank of Central and Eastern NC. Last year we raised almost $6000 for the Wounded Warrior Project with 400 people in attendance! We ended up with great donations and raffles from a lot of great companies from $1000 tire gift cards to winches. Each year it gets bigger and better so I'm hoping to see a lot of older models represented.

We'll usually organize caravans from different parts of the state (we all know drafting saves gas). Pets and wives are welcome and we're even okay with kids (assuming they have some sense to them). We are looking for a $10 donation (goes to the Victory Junction) and some canned food (goes to the Food Bank) for participants. Of course the more we can raise, the better!

Would there be room for a 1 ton truck / 30 foot trailer to bring up an old 45 and put it in the line up ?

Yes! There's lots of space. In the past, we've staged everyone at a local mall and the Raleigh police shut down Capital Blvd. and give us a police escort for a caravan from the mall to the dealership. It's quite a site to see. You could park the truck and trailer at the dealership and drive the 45 to the mall and caravan with everyone, put it all in the caravan or just show up at the dealership and skip the mall crawling portion.

What if your old fj40 ain't the prettiest girl? Regardless I'm ready to pay now! This sounds awesome...and only 2 hours away.

We'll make sure the rest of the trucks are drunk by the time of the show and she'll be an 8 or 9 and end up getting to third base at the very least.

My truck would be proud to sit next to any 40!

Third base? I think you just described how I got ahold of my huz!:D

Soooo...forgive me...but where do we register for this?

I just emailed one of the organizers. They're still in the planning stages, so I don't know if they're taking the donations/entry fees yet. I'll post up as soon as I know more.

It is a great organization that is doing great things for those of us that have gotten banged up.

From my family and I THANK YOU.

I worked at one of the donation stations last year and the generosity of people was amazing. Lots of people signed up for raffles, but so many people just donated cash/check for the WW. Hopefully we can do the same for another good cause this year.

Thank you for your service!
