What temperature do you set your fridge at?

yea thats pretty much how i approached it. I also added the part where i can provide possible marketing photos too while im out overlanding somewhere to assist with advertisement... since i do some landscape photography/astro while im out roaming.

I will say he hooked me up outside of the group buy.

I think you will have better luck calling him. He did not respond to the texts but answered the phone on the 2nd ring and took care of me right then. I'm inclined to lean towards texts -- but if you want to move the ball forward on your order, a call is probably going to get better results.

No idea, I was updating it based on what someone posted about amazon day sale. Oct 13-14 up to 30% off. Thanks for sharing @Ratchey , much appreciated bud.

In case anyone missed it, no promises but if you catch Lu when he isn’t busy, then there is a good chance he will take care of you. You lose on all the chances you don’t take, and it doesn’t hurt to try.

Just do us all a favor and be respectful to Lu and others at IceCo. We value the relationship we have with IceCo, so please act as if your actions could affect us all. How IceCo treats our future mudders is completely dependent on how current mudders treat IceCo today.

And I’m going to keep reminding you guys of this, but there are many ways to contribute:

- feedback/review on platform you bought it from (if Phone then on their website).
- stay honest, Only review if happy
-if not happy let’s talk about it here or discuss with Lu, but give them a chance before leaving bad review

- interact with their social media in positive ways (comment, share, like etc) in a way that’s convenient for you.

- Take a photo and share it here, of anything iceco related. Everyday picnics, vehicle setup, what you store in it and etc. if you have a lot I can give you Melissa from IceCos number to speed up the process of sharing to them.
- don’t let my lack of creativity limit you, share whatever you feel like here as long as iceco related.

Thanks in advance everyone, And good luck getting ahold of Lu if you want one soon! I try to limit to one phone call and 1 text per day, and email as a reminder if that doesn’t work. Don’t spam, but be persistent because he is human and can sometimes forget to reply.

An update in my situation. Iceco is saying that the loud noise that my unit is making is normal when it's clearly not. I can hear this thing from my bedroom while the unit is in the office. BTW, it took them more than a week to get back to me. At this point I just want to return this malfunctioning unit and get a refund. I think I've been patient enough up to now.

I think you said you had the VL35. While the unit is open, I hear a little of the refrigerant bubbling. When it’s closed, all I hear is a low hum of the compressor when on. I slept right next to it for 2 nights a week ago and had no issues. If it’s loud, I would agree it’s faulty, IMO.
 
I have a JP50. I posted a video of the noise it makes a few pages back. I've seen three reviews, including the hobotech review of the JP40, his and the others don't make the noise that mine makes. I can faintly hear the compressor which of course it's normal but there's a sort of whistling loud noise that seems to be coming from the walls of the fridge. It gets louder when I open the fridge. It's clearly not normal from the reviews I've seen.

Who did you speak to? It must not have been Lu because i sent you a message a week ago to let you know that he said "We'll do a direct replacement for him". Call/Text until you get him as your case should be top priority for us mudders, and let us know if you have trouble and i'll try checking in for you.

But yeah, like i said before that definitely is not normal. I'm very curious as to what is causing it though, and wished you were closer so i can trade you my TR so i can open up the expandable and take a look/trace the noise. Also curious how similar it is inside to the rest of the VLs.

Anyways, keep me posted brother and we will make sure to get you a replacement fridge. I hope you aren't losing any sleep over the noise and sorry again for your experience. My advice to you is don't buy any lottery ticket soon; first the shipping delay and then the whistler... you caught 2 short ends of the stick in a row there. Or maybe do buy a lottery ticket, because third time is the charm?

I gotta watch the end of the ECO Mode, 41F DC power stream to get the official time stamp... but basically i spoke too soon when i thought it would last longer than the same test in "Max Compressor Mode". The Eco Mode for same settings only lasted about 20-21 hours, and the Max Mode lasted 26. Right now i am thinking the ECO mode is just designed to reduce noise when compressor is on. Good thing i did the test because i assumed that i need to run in ECO if i want max efficiency when it comes to average energy consumption; turns out it's better to have compressor on full blast and for shorter periods, than to run it halfway for longer periods.

I am running the Max Mode test again for DC, 41F for the second time to see if it can last 26 hours again. So far we are 15 hours in and Jackery still has 66% left (167wH when full), but that was the night portion of test where it is more cool. It should use up more over next 12 hours/daytime portion of test. Hopefully i'm not speaking too soon again, but it does seem this one will break the 26H duration, and thus beat the current record of only 6.4W continuous draw over the 26 hours.

I texted both numbers on Sunday, Sep 27 with the video and explaining the situation. Since I didn't get a response I emailed with the same video and explaining the situation again on Wednesday Sep 30. I got a response from the email on Thursday asking me to describe what was wrong with the unit and to send a video or pictures. I guess they didn't read or saw the video from my original email. So I answered back sending the video one more time but this time stating that I would like to return the unit for a refund. Then on Friday, Oct 2nd I got a text from one of the numbers asking me for a video, again. I sent a video once more, (third time) again asking to return the unit and a refund. This morning I got an email stating that the noise is perfectly normal.

I don't think I'm being unreasonable here. At this pace it'll take them another three and half weeks just to ship me a new unit like the original did and that was after I contacted them about my order. I'm now just asking to return the unit for a refund and be done with it. I did buy it though paypal so if worst comes to worst I might have to file a claim, hopefully not

Not solid.

I'd call the number and speak to Lu. Let him know that SharpeCat (assuming he knows the username and not by another name) said he was going to send you a replacement and see if you can get that ball rolling.

I know you said that you just want a refund at this point, and I can certainly understand that. It seems like you should be within a reasonable time period to make that happen, but I wouldn't be surprised if return shipping is on you. Whereas, the direct replacement they will either send you a return label for the defective one or possibly just let you keep it (might not be worth the expense to ship it back in their eyes...who knows.) So to me, you come out ahead by getting the direct replacement. All of what I just said is based on assumptions though. Some or all of it may be incorrect.
 
Gave Lu a text yesterday and a call today but no response... ended up just buying it via Amazon lol....

Hopefully all goes well.

Right, which is why i asked who you spoke to. It does not sound like Lu, and that's who you need to speak to so you don't have to go in circles about whether or not it is normal with another rep. So you are having trouble getting ahold of him? Are you calling or emailing? It sounds like you are emailing so i assume official@icecofreezer.com?

Seems Lu is on Busy side this week. Let me know if you have trouble getting ahold of him and need me to inquire into your case for you. If you end up with another rep, just kindly ask to talk to Lu and let them know he already is aware of the problem.
