The VL35 expandable uses a completely different plug. I think the other models all use the standard ARB plug.

I guess that makes sense. That guy probably had the expandable. I would have to agree with him then. Doesn't make a lot of sense to have different plugs. That's just more inventory and more to keep up with.

That's a good kit to have when connecting direct to a car battery (or fuse block). My last go round, I bought the wire at Home Depot and the connectors off Amazon. It worked, but was not near as clean as the ARB wiring kit.

How secure is the Iceco 12v plug in the Jackery? I'm testing mine on 12v connection now and the cord is very loose. When I went to check on it, the display on the iceco was off (which to me indicates not powered, but maybe I'm wrong?) but the fridge was at 32* even though it was set to 38* when I removed the plug and plugged it back in.
The TR 12V has been reliable, but I have not useD the VL 12v cord yet. It looks like the standard 12V which is known to slip from my Jackery’s 12V input. That’s another thing about TRs is updated 12V connection, I will post pic later.

And yes, nothing on display means it wiggled loose, and the fact that it was 32 when set at 38, means it literally just wiggled lose recently, possibly from a vibration from you opening a door nearby or something? They are unreliable to begin with, and the Jackery’s 12V input adapter is even harder to stay attached to.

Well crap. Been watching this thread for the group buy to come back up and seem to have missed the JP 40 for $399 minus $106 at Amazon. Will they come back available at that price?

I want to do a double/triple check to make sure the average consumption of <6.5 watts continuous use wasn't a fluke, so i am running the test again. I also wanted to run it in "Eco Mode" this time ,to get a idea of whether there is a difference in long-term power consumption between the two modes. The stream has been live and test running for almost 7 hours, and Jackery has 81% capacity remaining. Not only is it proving that it was not a fluke, it's actually well on it's way to outlasting the previous test at 41F, where it lasted 26 hours on the little Jackery 160.

The point i am going to make to people and that i am testing to verify, is that if you picked up a fridge and are looking for ways to power it, then even a ~$100 battery bank (i got mine during amazon sale), can get the job done. One of my next steps is to try and find out what the smallest solar panel is that I can use to run this thing indefinitely, assuming I got at least 8 hours of sunlight per day and assuming 50% efficiency (50W panel giving at least 25W continuous output). It is looking like it will be under/around $200 to get everything i need to power this thing indefinitely; assuming i bought at the right time for the right prices. The best part is it's all plug and play, because i still don't know how to setup a dual-battery setup, and it's looking like i may not need to! Cost is also a big factor for me when deciding between different power setups.

That 100 though! 😍😍

Looks like a very capable setup all around, for both camping and tackling tough trails!

I really appreciate you setting a good example and contributing so much back to the thread! Melissa from ICECO FB Media team really appreciates any pictures/content i can send her, and i really appreciate you guys not only sharing, but also allowing me to share to ICECO. It's little things that this that contribute to a long and healthy relationship between Mud and ICECO. Thanks again to everyone who has contributed and thanks in advance to everyone else; you all get an applause from me!

I wonder if those prices will be better than group buy lol
I hope so! Or at least as nice, as we have a few members waiting on a deal, and Lu has not given me any official dates. I'm in no rush as i need time to do some testing and make marketing material for the TR, but it would be nice to get the people who want something within the next month taken care of.

Thanks for sharing by the way, good eye! I will update in thread title to alert others.

You guys are being great GB mudders by the way, keep up the good work!
