Wow, that has honestly been my biggest concern all day. Looks like you guys have it covered. How are things up that way. You guys getting ice and Sleet too?
5 hours later and the power is still out. Made a pallet in the floor in the living room. Hung blankets over the doorways to keep the heat in. It's probably 70°+ in here. I'm freaking roasting. Ice and sleet is all we have got all day. Might have snowed for about 10 min total. Jenna said she commented on Erin's post on Facebook :p. You all doing ok?
Here is a pic of the fire before bed. Threw the big daddies to it. Hopefully it will hold for a while.

Yeah, so far so good. Cold as balls and slick, but everybody is warm and dry. The roads are slick and I didn't see any asphalt on my little adventure, just white slush. Tomorrow is gonna be interesting.

Fire looks toasty, I remember a few nights like that growing up. Good times.

I had to run to Knoxville today and pick up my cousin from UT hospital and it was interesting to say the least.

Lots of ice on the 100 when I got back home

A common sighting on the way to Knoxville

Ice covered the back of the 4runner tonight and trees popping and cracking all over the area

I did have some time to color in a couple of my M&P's. Probably not working tomorrow so my do my AR.

Hope everyone is safe and warm and if you lost power, hope it's back on soon. It's a miracle that we haven't lost ours.

I did a little trading today and my 100 now belongs to a guy in Atlanta. I wound up with a clean, one owner, 4x4, 1998 T4R that will be my daily driver and a good amount of cash to apply to my FJ80 fund. Now I have to get serious and find one. I had planned on buying something like a 4Runner as my DD so kind of glad I was able to trade instead of selling the 100 straight out. Now I don't have to get in a hurry and wind up with something I don't really like. Hopefully the right 80 will pop up soon and I can join you guys on some rides down at Wind Rock. Can't wait to get another 80 but the search is half the fun, so I'm getting ready to drive my wife crazy running here and there looking at 80's.

I do have a question for you guys, if I find an 80 that's not locked, who is someone around east Tennessee that would be good to put in ARB air lockers? That's a job I would be afraid to take on myself. I have a couple friends that could probably do it but I hate to ask a friend to help with a job that big.

I have a few things I want to do to the 4Runner, like some 5 spoke factory wheels and little bigger tires, but all in all it's decent little ride. After getting out of my 100 and in to the 4Runner, I had forgotten how small they are compared to 100. I filled it up in Cleveland, Tn and when I got back to Morristown, I still had almost 3/4 of a tank, that is one thing I won't miss about the 100. From dead empty, it took $35 to fill it up.

Which five spokes are you looking for? IF you run upon any extra of these let me know. I want a 5th for a spare.

Also, 265/75s will fit fine. That's what I'm running. No noticable loss in mileage. I average about 19 mpg.

That is a nice looking rig. I love my 3rd gen.

I saw a locked 80 over in the Alabama for sale That is in middle TN I think, that is if it isn't gone.

Yeap, those are the ones I'm looking for. If I wasn't looking for a set, they would be all over craigslist. I found one set and the guy had them powdered coated and wants $500. They're nice but you can pick these up for $200 - $250 most of the time. If I see one, I will let you know. Thanks for the link, I'll check it out.

Word is there are a few trails reopened up at Tellico. Is this true?

Yea, Justin. A few trails have opened up on the back side of the mountain.

RockYour4x4 can do ARB installs and does great work. Also a great guy to deal with. I would also check out A Guy and A Garage

Yup, its called Durhamtown Tellico. You can check their website. $20 day pass, $10 passenger, Free 10 years old and under I think.

Trying to plan a comp weekend for us RC crawler guys. It's been so long since I've been up there. I don't remember what trails are on the backside and if they would be good or bad for RC rigs...

We started a group on FB for Appalachia Cruisers. Check it out.

Man, I thought I found my 80 at a dealer in Knoxville hahaha!! Only $24,800 and no lockers............what are these guys smoking? Am I missing something? Yes it only has 107,000 miles and a TRD supercharger but dang that's a lot of money for an unlocked 80. You should be able to buy one with those miles and built out the a$$ for $25,000.

"Very motivated seller"...... um negative! Not at freakin' $25k. That is a sub $10k rig easy. Yeah, super nice with low miles, but I could by a powerstroke Ford and have enough to buy momma a nice GX for that kinda monies. Good luck to him.
