Also looking at SC-UC page and they have a 2015 Events Calander. Looks like every month they post up their club meeting and a trail ride or clean up. Even have a day to help a member out or something. Just an idea.

Hey Ryan we need to work together and see if we can't get both of ours knocked out

Sounds good to me Lee. We'll talk Friday when Mike and me come up.

@ugamurph is having flashbacks of the cove run I bet

@jynx I started twitching. Forget IH8MUD... now it's IH8HIH2O.

But, on a good note, my seat foams are finally dry and I can start putting things back together!

Got word that my ARB for the front got ordeed and also ordered a Nitro cover for the rear axle.

@profro You should look at Shawn's (TNFJ40) spare tire setup he did in his 80. I think it's under the New Years thread in our clubhouse.

There's been an 80 for sale on craigslist for a while not too far from me (at a used car dealer off of Lovell Rd). We were out riding around yesterday so I stopped and took a look at it. It's a '95 and they're asking $4950. Seems reasonable, huh? Best word to describe it is "yikes". Serious rust. Probably the worst rust I've ever seen. There is a rust spot on the rear hatch so bad that you can see inside. I knelt down to look underneath and when I put my hand on the running board, it creaked and almost gave way. The frame is so rusty that it looks like large pieces of it are going to fall off at any moment. Probably the only thing from preventing that is what appears to be the worst oil leak in the history of the automobile. It looks like somebody threw an entire 55 gallon drum of oil all over the bottom of the vehicle.

Aside from that, the interior didn't look too bad. :clap:

Not sure how many if any of you guys listen to PODCASTS, but I've come across a couple that I think are pretty good. "The 4x4 podcast" talks about a wide range of off roading, from dessert racing to overland stuff. There's a lot of great interviews and product reviews etc. "off road podcast" I just started listening to but seems like it's going to be informative as well.
Just thought I'd throw it out there if you guys want to check it out.

Profro, concerning your question about tires for the 80, I just looked at National Tire and Wheel's site and they are still showing the KM2's being available in the 255/85-16 size. That's the same tire I ran on my 80 until they got so out of balance that they were terrible on the road. I put them on a set of old Tacoma rims and use them for trail tires now. I now have another set of BFG KO's. It's the second set I've had. They are excellent on road and do great off-road in everything except when it's really muddy. Don't know how big of a deal that is for you. They are also great in snow (what little bit we have). Back when I still had fender flares I had a set in the 305/70-16 size. The flares are gone now and I went with a set of 295/75-16's this time and am very happy with them. Hope this helps.

I know I can still get km2 255s, but not sure I want to invest that much money in a tire that will get harder and harder to replace.

I wheel a pretty good bit. I don't do sand mines anymore but I am in the woods a lot and mostly on wet rainy days since I wheel mostly when I can't ride a bike or moto. I will probably go back with the km2 but in the 285 size.
