I did a little trading today and my 100 now belongs to a guy in Atlanta. I wound up with a clean, one owner, 4x4, 1998 T4R that will be my daily driver and a good amount of cash to apply to my FJ80 fund. Now I have to get serious and find one. I had planned on buying something like a 4Runner as my DD so kind of glad I was able to trade instead of selling the 100 straight out. Now I don't have to get in a hurry and wind up with something I don't really like. Hopefully the right 80 will pop up soon and I can join you guys on some rides down at Wind Rock. Can't wait to get another 80 but the search is half the fun, so I'm getting ready to drive my wife crazy running here and there looking at 80's.
I do have a question for you guys, if I find an 80 that's not locked, who is someone around east Tennessee that would be good to put in ARB air lockers? That's a job I would be afraid to take on myself. I have a couple friends that could probably do it but I hate to ask a friend to help with a job that big.
I have a few things I want to do to the 4Runner, like some 5 spoke factory wheels and little bigger tires, but all in all it's decent little ride. After getting out of my 100 and in to the 4Runner, I had forgotten how small they are compared to 100. I filled it up in Cleveland, Tn and when I got back to Morristown, I still had almost 3/4 of a tank, that is one thing I won't miss about the 100. From dead empty, it took $35 to fill it up.
