I want to apologize because i may have spoken out of turn on the NC board. I was feeling a little upset when i started reading some of the post about the pumpkin pig run. I know it's hard to take emotion out of text written on an internet board, but i was not feeling the love.
Again, my feelings on cullowhee and the UC events is that cullowhee has been scouted out, mapped and organized by UC members for UC members. No UC does not own the property.
So, with that said anyone is welcome to go to cullowhee, scout out the trails, map them, figure out routs and drive times, and organize a trail ride any time they want. It is open game lands, open to the public. So if you can find it, go for it.
But, if you want to come on the UC pumpkin pig ride, you need to either own a pig or be a UC member, PERIOD. Society seems to be more and more accommodating to everyone so everything is fare and no one's feelings get hurt.........not this time. It is what it is.

off the soap box.
