I'm cleaning up the scrap pile after rebuilding my '97 Collector's with a damaged front end and about to junk the bent front axle/diff. Is there anything worth removing and keeping for spares? I wouldn't trust the brake rotors or calipers, but I'm wondering if there are parts in the diff or hubs that might be useful in the future. I have not yet rebuilt the hubs on the "new" axle/diff that I salvaged from a '94.
If no value, it's off to the junkyard in the morning.
Thanks for the help.

That high pinion 3rd member is of value to the mini truck crowd for sure! That is *exactly* how I got mine.... from an 80 series that came into the dealership back in like 2002 or 2003. It looks like the housing bent and pulled the studs...if the 3rd is salvageable, it may be worth trying to disassemble.

Any ABS parts.
The R&P should be good, the spiders may be...
I'd hang onto the calipers, hubs and disks. No reason why they'd be bad, unless they were hit...

@NickelDance : everything could be put to use. Quickest solution to get it out of your Garage is to give it away to someone who wants it for part spares.

You could start a thread in the Classifieds: FREE: 80 Series Front axle, come and get it.

It'll be gone in a week, or less.

Drive flanges...

Everything but the bent housing has value.

Mark...

knuckle balls for a fabricated housing build.

It looks bent enough that the axles might not pull out of the differential.

Best advice so far! Done and posted! Hope someone can use it. Thanks!

Your 94 axle you swapped in will have different birf length and flanges, you should pull the old stuff if it is good, at least keep flanges from 97 and when you rebuild the front axle you can go to the updated birf length and use the thicker 97 flanges. Change happened in 95

If you put up an ad on Craigslist in the free stuff section it will all be gone within a day. For sure. Just put that picture in there. All gone.

Change happened in 04/1994.

Or, ship it to these guys for repair:

FWIW/IME in many underdeveloped countries it's very common to fix something like a bent/cracked axle housing (a few have tried it on the forum).
