I own a 94 Land Cruise so it's pre OBDII. A friend of mine gave me a used Snap On MT2500 scanner that he said you can use to check pre OBDII engine codes with, he said it works on cars from 1980 till 2009. It came with a bunch of connectors and software to hook it up to different cars. I checked and yes it has the connector and software to hook it up to my truck. Problem for me is it came with no books telling me how to use it. Snap On stopped supporting this scanner in 2009 so i can't get the books from them. I checked Ebay, and see that there is a ton of stuff still available for it. So my question is this, have any of you used this scanner, and do you think it's worth spending money on?

You mean you weren't able to find this manual on the Snap-On site?

Thanks for the link to that manual, i had searched their web site but could only find a few connectors still listed. I called Snap On customer service after my friend gave me the scanner but their service rep told me that they no longer support the MT2500 at all. The funny part is she never even bothered to tell me that the one and only manual for the MT2500 that i needed was still available on line, for free. She said that all they have left for it are a few connectors and cables, but no books or new software at all. The last software updates she told me were made available in 2009, after that they dropped the complete MT2500 line. Now that i have the manual for it i hooked it up to my truck, I've got to say, for free this is one hell of a nice scan tool. This should be a whole lot better to check the engine codes with then counting the number of times the check engine light flash's.
