Hi everyone, I'm currently trying to pick a new tire to go along with my Bradley V wheels that are coming in later this month (18 x 8.5 wheel +50 offset) for my 21 LC200. It is my daily driver so mostly highway miles but will occasionally do light off-roading on the weekend a few times a year. I want to prioritize comfort and low road noise balancing looks (not a fan of the defender ltx ms2)

I came across the EV variant of the Toyo at3 in 275/70/18 SL rated --its designed for EV trucks but has anyone tried this wheel on their 200 series? any issues ?
My other option, based on my research, is to go for 285/65/18 SL rated falken wild peak at4w
Open to other suggestions for tires as well. Thanks!

I haven’t tried those toyos but just got the nitto terra grappler G3s on mine and they are quiet and comfortable and I them in C load. Looks like they come in SL in the sizes you mention so maybe give them a look too?

I second the Nitto Terra Grapler G3, I commute 150 miles a day in my 200 and it’s the tire I have on mine and it’s comfortable and quiet on the road.
Geezus I do not want to see your fuel bill lol

Don't know how I overlooked those ones-- looks like they'll be a good fit! What size do you have? Any idea if they'll rub on the Bradley wheels I'll be getting? +50 offset

I’m running 285/75r17 on +25 offset. I had to pin the front fender liner slightly forward as the tires are 33.8” tall. The two sizes you provided above are 33” and just under and should fit fine without any modification as your wheels are very slightly more out than stock (60mm) and you should have room. I had the Flaken AT3w on my 100 series and they are great tires but the AT4s are a lot heavier but also good tires. I’ve been very happy in my minimal time with the nittos

I am running 275/70 R18, slight rubbing turning lock to lock on L setting in the LX, but no rubbing at all in N.

I run the 285/70r20 AT3 EV variant on mine for almost a year. Pretty happy with them so far, but I judge tires once they have 40-50k on them. With the other option you noted the biggest difference I see is the 33.2x11 Toyo is 43lbs and the 32.6x11.5 Falken is 51lbs. Probably both solid choices

Yea the Toyo ev just seem too good to be true lol. AT tire but lighter and more quiet, rides smoother, than the non ev variant on pavement — like what’s the catch ?

This is going to sound so stupid, but the have a taper to them for less wind resistance. Makes for a weak looking shoulders for an AT. I'm struggling to convince myself that I can live with it as they check all the other boxes

It sure looks close. The side biters kind of flare out at the end but are otherwise flatter maybe

I have the “normal” SL ones. They have a recessed block next to a more fat side biter from what I can tell.

Edit: and I guess the 3d font

Tread seems the same?

Frankly they don’t really look all THAT aggressive anyway. Compared to a KO3 for instance.

Another interesting "ELEC" low rolling resistance AT option is Pirelli Scorpion XTM AT in LT285/65R20 (34.5"x11.5"). It comes in ELEC 275/70 R18 but I personally don't like tires that are narrower than stocks.

Buddy with a Rivian also just got them

I recently put on the AT3 EV tire. In a 275/70R18 on Tundra TRD wheels (had to get rid of the 21s).
They are 11 pounds lighter than the LT version, have a 65k mile warranty compared to 50k on the LT, and they are slightly cheaper.

Only drawback I’ve found it the tread depth is less compared to the LT.

I’ve had them on for not quite a month. Too early to tell but Ive noticed so far that they ride nice. My tire guy uses a Hunter Road Force balancer is and super picky about making sure the tires are match mounted to the rim perfectly (and I’m greatful he spends the time doing that and knows how to properly use his equipment). I think one of them didn’t even call for any weight to be added.

I’ve noticed only slightly more road noise compared to the 21” Toyo Open County HTII tires I swapped out. But the road noise is only really noticeably about 45-ish mph and I can’t even hear any at highway speeds.

Overall I’m pleased. I’m not exactly super picky. My tire guy had lot of good things to say about the AT3 tires.

Hold on to that guy. I recently had 3 visits to discount tire to get them to re-clock the wheel to prevent insane amounts of wheel weight.
