I'm parting out a '92 FJ80 :crybaby: and was looking at the tranny cooler. Any reason why I couldn't use this as a power steering cooler on my FJ40? Would it block too much of the radiator for air flow? Any thoughts? I figure, I have it (free) - if I can use it, why not? :meh: Input, please......

I see alot of guys running the small coolers on their 40's....are there reasons why they opt for that size versus this one (which is considerably bigger)?

It should work, the air should pass through it and still cool the engine radiator. I used the smaller version since it was cheapest to buy new and was adequate for cooling the PS. If I had had access to a bigger one for cheap, I probably would have used it.

Might be a little over-kill for PS... but nothing wrong with over-kill!

If you decide not too then send it to me.

JK run it the price is right and it's good insurance as well as an increase in fluid capacity.

Make sure it fits between the rad and grill, hopefully its not to thick ,otherwise use it .Im running one the same size for an engine oil cooler for a 6.2 ,no cooling probs at all.
