I was under my truck checking everything out before a big run in december , when I noticed a little rotational play in my t-case . Couldn't figure out what it was on the truck so I removed it disassembled it and found this . Anyone else had this happen ?

Had heard of it before; I have never seen it.

Thanks for posting the pictures!

I just replaced it with a gear from another t-case . Everything else seemed pretty good . I have beat on this case harder than any other cruiser case I've had . I'm surprised that this is the first major repair I've had to do to it .

Are those threaded fasteners?? I sheared off 6 pins like that in my old Chris Craft boats tranny years ago.Found new pins at a fastener wholesaler and made the repairs.

They are not threaded; those pieces pictured are rivets that attach the center hub portion of the low speed gear to the gear itself.

Just goes to show you that a good look around is worth it before a big run. Good find !!
