Anyone running TJM's 4" kit yet?

After a couple set backs financially, I finally have cash in hand for a lift. :bounce::bounce:

I talked to Metaltech and they suggested going with their TJM 4" kit. They don't have it on their website yet, but it looks like Extreme Land Cruisers has the same one on theirs.

80 Series Landcruiser complete 4 Suspension Lift Kit by TJM [TJMA-80SuspKit] - $1,300.00 : Extreme Landcruiser, Upgrades for Extreme Offroad Performance

Comments? Somebody has to be running it.... I know I've said I'm ready to buy before, but I actually will be purchasing this week.

Looks like a pretty complete kit. Only think missing is sway bar extensions (if you plan on running them) and possibly a DC front driveshaft if you need it since you are correcting caster with bushings. 4" lift is basically a 4" lift. This one looks just as good as any other. Major differences are usually shocks, and how they go about correcting caster. Bushings are the cheapest way.

FYI it would Probably be cheaper to put together the components separately if you have the time and desire.

Anyone? ...Bueller?

Am I going to be the first here?

Well... It should be here late next week. I went through MetalTech- great people to work with, great prices, and I used to live close by to them. The kit is a mix of TJM and MetalTech goodness, I went with the upgraded "Tiger" shocks. A heavy-duty big-bore foam-celled 9-way adjustable setup.

It looks like I'll be the guinea pig as it looks like no one else has this - hopefully not a bad sign! I'm planning on doing a detailed write up with pictures. Any questions about it let me know!

What's the update?

Have everything but the rear adjustable panhard and the steering stabilizer in my garage.... they should be in this week and installed this coming weekend.

$95 per corner if I remember correctly....

From what I can tell the Tiger shocks will only work up to a 50mm lift. The correct part number for the high lift application is the 650GEL180B for the front and the 650GEL280B for the rear.

Still waiting on the last two parts! Argh.....

Actually yes... Got it finished up Friday night but we've had company all weekend. Hoping to do a write up tonight. Took so long because some parts were stuck in customs from Australia...

Any word on the new suspension?.....I was looking at this kit for my LX ...but I think 4" of lift with 315/75R16's might be a bit gappy in the fender wells ?

Finally have everything installed. I will do a full write up with pics later today. Overall I love it. Rides great, looks great, I gained about 6" of lift over stock, but I don't have my heavy gear on it yet. It sits pretty level as is.

when will you be able to get a wheeling report? no write up is complete without that, so i guess now you have to go wheeling. :grinpimp:
