Anyone running a Harrop rear e-locker? (1 Viewer)

Really depends on the trail. On Fins N Things I had it in 1st. On White Rim I used 2nd. I never use “D” when in 4Lo though - highest I’ll go is 4th gear… if I need to go faster I go back to 4Hi
Makes sense. When you shift into manual mode while in 4lo, is it always in 4th for you?

Normally. Sometimes it’s 3rd. Not entirely sure why

The link above is broken! Any plans to sell the rear 9.5” version for a 1992?
We have the Eaton locker in stock for the full float rear axle. Feel free to reach out to us.

It’s my understanding that the 80’s from 1992 are semi float rear

Yes. 91-92 are SF, while most 93+ are FF. If the rear has drum brakes, it is SF, if disc, it's FF.

FWIW, I have ARB lockers on one of my 80s, and if I did it again, I would go with Harrops.

That is correct for all Landcruiser sold in the US. Most of the diesel Cruisers have full float rear axles starting in 91.

There are no electric lockers available for semi float rear axles. That means you have two choices. You can either run a later 80 series Ff rear axle and converted to an electric locker or you could run the ARB locker in your existing rear axle.
We keep the ARB lockers in stock as well along with all the other items needed to complete the job at hand.
