Looking at picking up a used fork for for my SantaCruz Superlight. I am 180 lbs and ride XC from 10-20 mile rides. My bike is a 2001 and my old fork is a 99 marzocchi z-1 CR. I have found a F100x Terra logic fork here in Portland for sale. I really have no need for a lockout and or anything with m ore travel. The price is right but I have yet to find many reviews on the fork.

Anyone ride one or have any more info on it I would appreciate it. MTBR has some good reviews but only on the 2007 model and this is a 2006.

Sorry, can't help here. I'm still riding my Judy...

Which has gotta be 15 years old, but works wonders!

Hey, I just ordered new tires, that's a start! :D

Holy smokes!! A Judy??!! It's time to upgrade as new suspension technology is amazing. You realize your fork is just using some type of elasotmer as the damper? Guaranteed, at 15 years old, it is shot.

I've got a 5 yo Manitou and a 8-10 Marzocchi Bomber, both long worn out. My new rig sports a fox RL 100, and as far as I can tell, Fox has the best stuff these days.

Time to chuck the Rockshox!:D

Anything that old is going to need a rebuild. Check out Push Ind and factor in the cost into the purchase.

I've got a Teralogic, and it's great. Mine is probably a 2007? Maybe more fork than you need for a superlight.

The fork had already been overhauled by Fox. I found that it actually suited the SL really well this past weekend. I shaved close to a pound of weight off my bike and it was super responsive to the trail and rode a bit firmer than my Marzocchi. The tracking was spot on. Very nice fork and I bought it for $180 which I thought was a pretty good deal. My next fork will definately be a fox again.

Thanks for the link to push industries. I have heard good things about them.

I just pulled my old race HT -w/ '99 Judy SL- out of the rafters and bombed down syncline on it this past weekend - link to pics thru my ride calendar in sig below. The tech may be old, but it still performs well. ...if it aint broke 'n all...

Gypsy, I dig your pic of the blue pool. I'll be down at the Mckenzie River Trail in late June w/ the NWTA folk. Hook up w/ us for a ride.

will do. I just posted up on mtbr.com and will be trying to get together with some of those peeps as well.

we should just get together and have a cold one over bbq, bikes and cruisers.

hit me up when you get some free time.

Right on. I noticed your post on MTBR. Congrats on getting back on the bike. I'm taking a break from racing to concentrate on family and career, but I can't give up the high of bombing singletrack.

If you haven't ridden Oakridge yet, you gotta go check it out. It flat out rocks! I'm attending both Moutain Bike Oregon events -www.mtboregon.com- down there this year and likely going to do a third trip w/ my local crew to avoid the crowds.

I'f you're going to be around the city at all this weekend, I'm leading a ride on late Sat morning at Scappoose and then checking out the New Belgium Brewing Urban Assault Ride madness on Sunday in Pioneer Sq - Urban Assault Ride - The Pedal-Powered Urban Adventure.

thanks for the link. I wanted to that ride last year but Cruise Moab and other stuff got in the way. This year is preparing the truck for Rubithon. Maybe next year? :D

Theres a reason Fox abandoned the Terralogic technology......it sorta sux. I ran one on a singlespeed- felt like crap- sent it to PUSH for overhaul.....came back......felt better--but crapped out about 6mo. later.

Basically its just finicky- it cant really determine whether or not it wants to lock out or stay plush in choppy conditions.

A much better choice is a regular old Fox RLC - flip a switch to lockout on climbs...and flip it back for descent.

ACTUALLY rockshox has really stepped up their game in the last year or two. In fact- for heavier riders......the PIKE is much more plush than the foxes.....much stiffer....and is quite a bit less money. Racers and weight weenies may spring for the FOX since its slightly lighter......but the Rockshox current line is the bang for the buck performance shock on the market right now compared to the Fox's. SO MUCH SO that Fox recently cut its pricing and employee purchase prices back fairly significantly.

If you get a chance to offload the Terralogic and find a good used FOX RLC line......id suggest you do it while the Terralogic is still in descent shape and "tradeable". If you dont race and are not looking to shave seconds off groomer laps.....the PIKE is a ton more fork than the RLC's and Terralogics. For a superlight- the RLC is probably a better balanced pick unless you like lots of rough /rooty/rocky riding in which case a PIKE is just alot more PLUSH and stiff than any of the Fox 32mm stantions.

Everyone seems to rav about the fox forks but every one of their forks I have ridden felt like poo. Just inherently sticky. Even the Fox40s I have have done a few laps on were kinda sticky. It must be the mindset that I paid a bunch of money for this fork so it must be the best.

I have no experience for the fork in question but that is my impression of the fox fork brand. Rockshox have really hit a home run as of late with a bunch of their products, but I ride purely marzocchi stuff at the moment.
