There is a guy on ebay that has bought up most of the remaining pipes from walker for the application we use. (63 Chevy with a 283) part #42087. He has the original ones made from thick cold rolled steel. Last one went for $38 on ebay and he is willing to sell for $30 + shipping ( $9 to me in Nor Cal).

If anyone is intersted I'll pass his email on to you...just an fyi.

BTW will the 2 in walker pipe mount up to 2.5 in centerdumps???? Cause thats what I got to work with. Thanks.

not without a reduction pipe of some sort.. i am going to use a different y pipe w/ the 2.5" manifolds, if you decide to go with the 2 inch ramhorn's let me know and i will take the 2.5's off your hands

Are you going to have a y-pipe custom welded then? I'd love to keep the 2.5s but everywhere around here wants to charge me close to $200 to weld up a y-pipe. Craziness.

They should fit. Sell or trade the 2.5" manifolds to a vette guy, or have a 2.5" crossover made.

200 bucks for a cross over is a rip

Thats what I'm saying but I can't find anyone around here to do it for less. Freaking california cost of living hits on all levels!!!

Anyone local have a pipe bender I can play with??

FWIW, I just called my local Napa store and they can get the Y pipe for $53.
My local muffler shop wants $50.

Chris

I got mine from RockAuto.com last week for $35 ... ;)

I am aware that Napa and rockauto have them but this guy claims the newer ones are made of thinner metal. Still, $40 shipped is a pretty good deal.

same here paid $130 (canadian) for mine . 2 1/4 bolted to the 2 inch rams . they charge that much because they are lazy ass's and have a hell of a time making one .so if you want one they make ya pay for it !!! i watched the guy make mine and he went through 3 sticks of tube and 3 1/2 hours later it was done and he was suppose to be good ??
