So, I purchased the heater pipe insulation for the pipes that run from the firewall to the rear heater (1977 FJ40). I purchased item 4339T8 from Mcmaster Carr which is 1/2" ID X 3/4" OD. The tubing that runs from the fire wall to the front heater is a larger diameter. Has anybody found an insulation for these larger pipe size? I believe they are around .660" OD.

Thanks,
Dave

I would never insulate my heater hoses - They add more radiator surface area for getting heat into the cab, especially the hoses going to the rear heater. In the summer the water flow is turned off at the block valve, so heat stays out.

I was able to get that hose over all the metal pieces. I thought the longer pipes were more difficult. I used baby powder and a lot twisting and tugging. I cleaned and sanded the pipe.
