I’m looking to get a set of aluminum step sliders for my LC200. I’m kicking myself for not biting the bullet in the summer when things were in stock. I’ve learned that Dissent is no longer taking orders, and I haven’t heard back from the folks at Victory 4x4 even after sending a couple of emails. Land Cruiser Rock Sliders | Blitz | 200 Series & Lexus LX 570 (08-21) - Victory 4x4 - https://www.victory4x4.com/product/V200SL-BL.html

Anyone know of any other vendors that make aluminum sliders for a 2019 LC200 or have any reccos of lighter weight steel sliders? I’ve relocated to the Pacific Northwest and am eager to get out there, but wary to do so without some side protection. I‘ve been intentional in prioritizing weight savings in my build so far Hence the focus on aluminum.

Dissent is the way to go for aluminum sliders. Top notch company and well worth the wait. Give them a call and see if they can get you a set even if takes a bit longer.

I’m trying to build as lightweight as possible. I have full aluminum skids, for example, and no front bumper.
But sliders? I went with the stout option.

Trying to build light as well. I put my order in for Dissent sliders not sure now many months back. ETA was Jan at the time so I'm hopeful I'll see them soon. Everything good is hard to get these days.

Fair enough. I've gone a sleeper platform and a LRA tank hence the extra sensitivity on any and all weight savings opportunities.

Thank you! I just posted in the Seattle area roll call. Events/Trails - Seattle area role call and planning thread - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/seattle-area-role-call-and-planning-thread.1066699/page-32#post-14217864 Excited to hit the trails out here.

I just placed an order for the victory 4x4 aluminum sliders + armor. Looks like 90 days which is the upper end of what I would want to wait.

Not the place to save weight, if you are actually using them as sliders.

Agreed, but I don't wheel hard. I need "just in case" protection, not something that I'll drag regularly. Aluminum skids are next. Budbuilt's guidance on steel vs. aluminum is a good example of my usage.

@gx2lc - another welcome to the PNW!

I'm in the same boat... just missed Dissent.
Let us know how it turns out.
So hard to find good stuffs these days and making my build even more difficult.
My goal for this build is as light as possible.

My ARB sliders are fairly lightweight (but not aluminum). It has served me well…granted i don’t do rockledges. YMMV. I “think” that both sliders weighed around 80-90 lbs? So, i figure that i skip McDonalds once a month, then it should even out in the long run….

I’ve been curious about the clear view power step that has some rocker protection…as I don’t think I’ll ever need true sliders for my rig.

But more to your question check out westcott designs. Their sliders look a bit busy to me but they build in house and might fit your timeline. Not sure what they weigh though.

Yeah, the metaltech lx570 sliders are +150lb or something. Never think about it. Lots of other places to save weight.

That is ~10% of your payload to be fair.
Basically any functional slider is a 5% gain. So it's a 5% net gain over the minimum.

I'm not losing sleep over the 5%.

Everyone has to make their own decision where to spend their weight investment. I decided to invest a little in sliders.

My 200 weighs almost 6000 lbs loaded and built.. my Slee sliders weigh 56lbs. They are steel. They are a tiny fraction of the weight they are being asked to support. Tiny.
Are you sure about that weight? Is it 56 lbs PER SIDE?

The MT LX570 sliders are 90 lbs per side, net of OEM guards is 77 lb. additional.
